What follows is what the directory holds, how a laboratory gets onto it, and what the counts do and do not mean.

How many peptide testing labs are there, and how many can anyone verify?

Peptigrity holds 34 peptide testing laboratories on file, and 21 of them are independently verifiable: they run a public portal where a report number returns the laboratory's own copy of the certificate. The other 13 issue reports that can be confirmed only by writing to the lab. The list is sorted by certificates on file, most first; no laboratory pays to be listed, and nothing about its position can be bought. The top of the table is steep. Freedom Diagnostics holds 4,917 certificates and Janoshik Labs 2,820 — together 56 % of everything on file — while 5 laboratories are listed as new with none yet. A high count records how often this community has used a lab; it is not a measure of accuracy, and a new lab with zero certificates has not been judged, only not yet used. Is there a peptide testing lab near me?

No peptide testing laboratory on file takes walk-in samples: all 34 are mail-in services, so “near me” resolves to two questions — does the lab accept samples from your country, and what does the parcel cross. The labs listed are based in Australia, Canada, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Poland, the United Kingdom and the United States; laboratories in the United States hold 73 % of the certificates on file and those in the Czech Republic 22 %, so readers on different continents usually end up at different ends of the table.

Distance matters for one reason: customs. A vial shipped to a lab in another jurisdiction is an export of a research chemical, and the return of a report is not — but a returned remainder, where the lab offers one, is. What must a lab publish before you send it a vial?

A laboratory card here carries 6 facts a reader needs before shipping: its stated methods, the methods observed on its certificates, whether it runs a public portal, where it accepts samples from, its sample minimum, and its stated turnaround with the date and page it was read from. Where a lab has not published a fact, the card says “not stated” rather than guessing — and a lab that will not put its method or minimum in writing is asking you to ship first and ask later.

Which labs run which tests?

21 of the 34 laboratories on file state HPLC purity; far fewer state the other layers, and the card tags show which — LC-MS identity, net peptide content, endotoxin, sterility and heavy metals appear as separate tags on each row. 11 state no method at all, and their rows say so in red: a lab that won't say what it runs is asking you to find out after you have paid. The contamination layers cluster on specialists, and a lab that runs USP <71> sterility prints a separate, longer turnaround for it beside its purity figure.

The tag records what a lab states or what its certificates on file show, marked “observed on n certificates” where the evidence is a certificate rather than a claim. It does not record how a method is run: two labs tagged “LC-MS” may confirm identity by full mass spectrometry or by retention-time match against a standard, and only the lab's method page says which. How does a laboratory get listed, and when is one removed?

A laboratory is added to the directory when it has a real domain and a physical address, accepts samples from individuals, and states at least one analytical method; it enters as “New” with 0 certificates and moves up as certificates arrive. Accreditation, published prices and a public portal are card fields, not conditions of entry. A laboratory that closes, or whose reports can no longer be confirmed, is removed and its old profile URL returns 410 Gone rather than a redirect, so old citations point nowhere else.

Peptigrity does not accredit, endorse or rank any laboratory, takes no money from laboratories, and does not test peptides itself: every certificate on file was issued by one of the labs above and submitted to the database. What does “Verifiable” mean on a card?

The laboratory publishes a public lookup where a report number returns its own copy of the certificate, so a third party can confirm a PDF is genuine and unaltered without contacting the lab. It confirms the document, not the sample: a verified certificate still describes only the vial that was tested.

What counts as an acceptable purity level?

Peptigrity’s lab-test database bands HPLC purity as Excellent at 98 % and above, Research at 95–98 %, Marginal at 90–95 % and Failed below 90 %; 95 % is the research-grade bar. Across the 13,814 published purity tests, 0.29 % fall below 95 %, so purity is rarely the failure — underdosing, at 7.20 % of net-content tests, is far more common, and a purity figure says nothing about it.

Are these laboratories affiliated with Peptigrity?

Do labs pay to be listed, or to be listed higher?

No. The only sort order is certificates on file, most first, and no figure Peptigrity computes about a laboratory is used to order it. A laboratory cannot buy a position, a badge or the removal of a competitor.
