What are the documented side effects of Liraglutide?
The most common effects are gastrointestinal (nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation); documented serious risks include pancreatitis, gallbladder disease, and a boxed warning for thyroid C-cell tumors (contraindicated in personal/family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma or MEN2). What is the regulatory status, and how does research-market material differ?
Liraglutide is FDA-approved (and approved in the EU, UK, etc.), but products sold through research-chemical vendors are not the approved Victoza/Saxenda pharmaceutical and are marketed for research use only.
