trace helix analytical - a lab with no one to ask

Posted 3 days ago · 1 reply · 23 views

A shop in our index cites tracehelix.com as its independent third party lab so we ran our usual checks. Everything below is verifiable by anyone in ten minutes.

The site went live around May 2026. It offers HPLC/UPLC and LC-MS plus endotoxin and sterility testing and there's a COA verify portal. So far so normal.

Now the other half. No legal entity name on any page. No physical address. No phone number. Not one named person. The about page has a team section that names no one. The process says "ship your sample" without ever saying where. Quality systems are "ISO 17025-aligned" - aligned is not accredited and you can't look it up in any registry. "Trusted by leading partners across North America" but no partner is named.

Usual position applies here. None of this proves bad intent and we're not claiming to know anyone's intent. New labs start somewhere. Some people value privacy. But the Horizon Analytical story (peptidecritic's writeup is worth your time) just showed everyone that lab verification can't stop at "does it exist". A lab can be real with a working portal and still not be independent of the vendors it certifies. Ownership is the real question. With Trace Helix we can't even get to that question because there's nobody named to ask.

The offer is open and Trace Helix is welcome to take it: a legal entity we can look up. A physical address. One named responsible person. And if a partner lab runs the instruments then that lab's name on the certificates. Same bar every lab in our index clears.

Asks for the room. If you hold a Trace Helix COA try the verify portal and tell us if your number resolves. If you've commissioned testing with them the entity name on your invoice and the ship-to address would close most of this. Sightings of their COAs at other shops help map who relies on them.

We'll update this thread as answers come in whatever direction they point.
